A plan is a monthly allowance of AI credits, a number of seats and a level of support. Nothing else. There is no feature on any plan that another plan does not have.

That is not a launch offer. The plan definitions in the product have no field that could switch a feature off, so there is nowhere to put one.

Many tools keep these for their enterprise tier. Security should not cost extra.

AI credits

You pay for the AI work. You see every credit.

One credit, one US cent

A credit is one US cent of AI model cost, at the provider's price. The Coach checking a draft, the Champion wording a nudge and the copilot answering a question all spend credits.

A hard cap, every month

When the month's credits are used, AI features pause. Nothing is ever charged beyond the credits you have.

Every rule keeps running

Run out of credits, or turn AI off, and every escalation, gate, score and diagnostic still runs, and every nudge but the one that needs a model.

See where they went

Every call is metered by person, by feature, by agent and by model, so nobody has to guess.

Quotas you set

Quotas per person, per agent and per workspace, so one keen team cannot spend everyone's month.

Your own key spends nothing

Bring a key for Anthropic, OpenAI, Gemini, OpenRouter or any compatible endpoint. AI on your key spends no credits, and you pay your provider directly.

Credits renew each month. Extra credits an owner buys last twelve months.

Seats

Seats set the size. Not the price.

Counts as a seat

  • Active members.

People who can sign in and work

  • Invited members.

So a full plan refuses the invitation, not the person clicking the link

Never counts

  • The OKR Coach and the OKR Champion.

Charging for them would charge for the product's whole idea

  • Guests.

Someone you share one space with. Sharing should never be a money decision

  • People who have left.

Suspend a leaver and their seat is free that day. Their work and their name on it stay

Want a smaller plan than the people you have? We will not pick who loses access. The product tells you how many people are over the new number, and you decide.

Questions

Something else? Talk to us.

Is the free plan really every feature?

Yes. The free plan has limits on people and AI credits, not on features.

Why is self-hosting free?

Because OpenOKR is open source, and we think organisations should be able to own the tools they run their strategy on. We earn money by running it for people who would rather not, and by supporting organisations that run it themselves.

What does the AGPL licence mean for us?

If you run OpenOKR unchanged for your own staff, nothing: no fee and no source code. If you change it, the licence asks you to offer your changed source to the people who use it over a network, your own staff included.

Do the AI features cost extra?

Every plan includes AI credits each month, with a hard cap so a bill can never surprise you. Need more? An owner can buy extra credits. Or bring your own key and pay your provider directly. And every rule but one works with AI switched off.

What is an AI credit?

One US cent of AI model cost, at the provider's price. Every call is metered by person, by feature, by agent and by model, so you can see where the credits went.

What happens when the credits run out?

AI features pause until the month renews, or until an owner buys more. Nothing else stops: every escalation, gate, score and diagnostic still runs, and every nudge but the one that needs a model.

Do the AI agents count as seats?

No, on any plan.

Can we switch between cloud and self-hosted?

Yes, in both directions. Export the workspace, import it on the other side, after a dry run.

Is there a discount for non-profits, schools and universities?

Yes. Schools, universities and registered non-profits get 30% off Team and Business. Talk to us.

What currency do you bill in?

US dollars by default, and Malaysian ringgit if you invoice locally.

Can we pay by invoice?

On Business and Enterprise, yes.

What happens when we add people mid-year?

Adding people within your plan's seats costs nothing. To go past them, move to a larger plan. It starts at once, and you pay the difference for the rest of the period.
